Come with me to visit the heart of the City, the place from where it has all been run since the 12th Century. The City is always progressing and changing. It embraces new ideas, methods and technology and it reaches out across the globe. Yet in many ways it does not change at all. The way the City is structured and run has not altered very much at all since the first Mayor took charge in 1189.
On this walk we will be opening the door of the mediaeval Guildhall, once the biggest hall in England, and going inside to enjoy its very special treasures. We’ve got giants, heroes, politicians and a buffet – and it is all inside waiting for us.
